Thermal paper
Product Information
Thermal paper (heat-sensitive paper) is a type of paper coated with a special heat-sensitive chemical substance. It develops its color when heated by a thermal printer, eliminating the need for ink. It is widely used for electronic invoices, credit card receipts, POS receipts, labels, and fax paper. Its advantages include fast printing speed and no need to replace toner. However, the ink is easily faded by heat, light, and grease, and because it contains a special coating, it cannot be recycled and should be disposed of in general waste.
- Application scenarios: electronic invoices, ATM receipts, restaurant bills, convenience store invoices, logistics labels, children's cameras.
- Size specifications: Common sizes include 57mm x 60mm, 57mm x 40mm, and 80mm x 80mm (expressed as width x diameter).
- Composition and principle: The paper surface has a coating (such as leuco dyes and color developers), which melts and undergoes a color reaction when heated.
- Storage: Not suitable for long-term storage, but high-quality thermal paper can be preserved for several years. Avoid high temperatures, high humidity, and direct sunlight; store in a cool, dark place.
